This is a series of images taken as part of an intervention serious that my friend Rina Liddle and I have been working on here and there for a while. It involves showing up in a high profile, heavily documented space in Vancouver, and convincing people to participate. When they agree, they select one word from each of three boxes- a verb, an adverb, and a noun, object or direction. They then have to perform the action and take a picture. We allow the participant to interpret the action any way they like, and to take a picture at any point during their performance.
The point of the piece is to disrupt the programming (anticipated and accepted behaviours) of a space, and by having people act differently in the space to have them represent the space differently.
